The Dallas County Fair is gearing up to open up on Tuesday in Adel, as there will be plenty of 4H activities to coincide with opening day.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Youth Coordinator Annie Schlieman tells Raccoon Valley Radio check in for all animals will be on Tuesday, with swine from 6-8am, Clover Kids Bottle Animals and Sheep and Goats from 8-10am, Beef and Bucket Calf from 8-11am, then horses, rabbits, and poultry from 10am-noon. 

Schlieman highlights that a big event happening on Tuesday is the 4H Family BBQ put on by the Cattlemen’s and Pork Producers from 5:30-7pm at the Entertainment Plaza. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be on site Tuesday from 1-6pm.
