On Tuesday, during Dallas Center-Grimes’ baseball match up against the Waukee Warriors, Taitn Gray was recognized and celebrated alongside his family for being named the 2024-25 Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year.

Gray currently leads the Mustangs this season in homeruns and RBIs with 11 homeruns and 33 RBIs so far this season. Gray also has the best slugging percentage on the team with a 1.180 while also being the most patient at the plate, leading the team in walks with 28.

Gray and the DCG baseball team gear up for their final regular season match up on Monday, facing off against the Johnston Dragons at Johnston Middle School. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
