The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball Team has a couple more games left before they begin regional play on Friday, and Head Coach Jason Book likes the matchup they’ve been given.

ADM was placed in the Class 3A Substate 8 Division for the Iowa High School Athletic Association regionals, where they’ll be traveling to Oskaloosa to battle the 2nd seeded Indians in the first round. Tiger Head Coach Jason Book believes that it is a good draw for ADM, and tells Raccoon Valley Radio that he’s concentrating on finishing the regular season before shifting his focus to Oskaloosa, but knows they have some great players. Book is happy to be facing an unfamiliar team, as it will set up for a fun opportunity.

“Get away from the metro, and we don’t have to play in the Raccoon River Conference tournament, they way they paired up that group. It’s a good opportunity to go in and sneak some wins and try and get to a state tournament, not having to go through the gauntlet of all of our Raccoon River foes.”

ADM still has two more regular season games versus Carroll tomorrow, and then at Norwalk on Tuesday. The first round of the substrate game against Oskaloosa on Friday will begin at 7pm.
