
After a postponement due to rain on Saturday, the AC/GC Chargers baseball team finally gets their postseason started today.
The Chargers head to Woodbine to face off against the AHSTW Vikings in first round action for the Class 1A Substate 8 Bracket action. This will be the first time that the teams face off against each other. For the Chargers, Tommy Skram leads in hits with 27, while Noah Kading leads in RBIs with 19. Kading leads in the pitching stats as well, being credited with three of the team’s wins, and having a 3.23 ERA and 40 strikeouts. For the Vikings, Braden Fineran leads in hits with 20, while Camdyn Dresen leads in RBIs with six. Kiptyn Lamp leads in wins for the team, credited with two, while Dresen leads in ERA with a 1.73, and Aiden Akers leads in strikeouts with 52. First pitch is at 5pm, with the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network to broadcast the game live on the KKRF2 online live stream.
The Chargers softball team also begins their postseason push today, taking on the Martensdale-St Marys Blue Devils. For AC/GC, Karli Kautzky leads in hits with 20, while Jacie Baker leads in RBIs with six. Jayla Hoover leads in wins, credited with both of the team’s victories from the mound, while Camdyn Richter leads in ERA and strikeouts with a 9.61 and 20 respectively. For the Blue Devils, Ellie Baker leads in hits and RBIs with 45 and 24 respectively. Abigail Hughes leads the team in wins, credited with six, and in strikeouts with 66, while Caitlin Reines-Schmidt leads in ERA with a 1.75. The Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network will broadcast the game live on the KKRF2 online live stream, with coverage to begin at 7pm, or after the end of the Chargers baseball game.
