
A Perry man was taken into custody on Sunday, after allegedly acting combative towards a neighbor.
According to court documents, the Perry Police Department responded to an apartment in the 2800 block of Warford Street, where officers found a naked African American male, identified as 30-year-old Jordan Davontay Todd, allegedly attempting to break into a neighboring apartment complex, and he was also yelling and screaming. The criminal complaint shows that when the officer tried to apprehend Todd, he resisted, leading to a physical altercation. Following that, another officer arrived and successfully handcuffed Todd.
Court documents state that the victim claimed they were asleep and awakened by Todd’s banging at the apartment’s front door, and Todd was yelling and screaming in an aggressive manner. The victim also provided video footage of the incident. According to the criminal complaint, Todd was then arrested and charged with two Class D Felonies for 2nd degree attempted burglary and 2nd degree criminal mischief, two aggravated misdemeanors for 1st degree harassment and child endangerment.
Todd was booked and remains in the Dallas County Jail on a $12,000 cash or surety bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
