
The AC/GC Chargers baseball team ended their season last night against the Woodbine Tigers in a 5-3 loss.
Both teams were scoreless through the first three innings, with the Chargers putting up two runs in the fourth while holding the Tigers scoreless once again. In the fifth inning, AC/GC was unable to score, while Woodbine tallied five runs. Neither team scored in the sixth inning, and the Chargers were only able to score one run in the top of the seventh inning, ending the game with the 5-3 loss. Tommy Skram was on the mound for the entirety, throwing six strikeouts, allowing only one walk, and only hit one batter. Senior Taytum Bates was the best on the bats for the Chargers during the game, with his first at bat being a line drive to third that was just barely caught before hitting the ground, with his next two hits being line drives to the same area, and getting two RBIs with his hit in the fourth inning.
