The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
The board approved a request from the Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce to utilize several parking lots for the Sweet Corn Festival on August 9th. Chamber Board President Erin Milroy specifically requested the parking lots on Court Street, 9th Street, Main Street, and the Wells Fargo lot. Supervisor Julia Helm asked if vendors were still going to have room to properly set up, to which Milroy responded that the lots wouldn’t interfere with any vendor spots.
Other items on the agenda that were approved included resolutions to appoint Nolan Schultz as the Dallas County Tax Administrator for the term to end in December of 2026 and Shelley Kaster as the Assistant Auditor, along with approving a Governmental Accounting Standards Board 75 Engagement Letter for data collection in the Human Resources Department for a total of $8,100.
