The 2025 Dallas County Fair Queen Coronation is in two days, as we introduce the third candidate.
Jenna Schlieman just completed her freshman year at Iowa State University in Ames, where she is majoring in animal science in the pre-veternarian track. She highlights that some of her favorite hobbies include reading and riding horses.
Schlieman loves the variety of animal shows at the Dallas County Fair, specifically the swine and sheep shows, as it reminds her of the way she grew up showing livestock. She details that she ran for Dallas County Fair Queen in 2022, when she was a junior at Dallas Center-Grimes High School, but Schlieman feels like being at ISU has better prepared her this time around.
“This year, I got inspired just to step out of my comfort zone some more after being in college. That kind of helped me grow out of my shell and I feel a bit more confident about it than I did the first time.”
Schlieman acknowledges that it would be great to be named the 2025 Dallas County Fair Queen, as she’s been showing animals for the past nine years. The other candidates include Kadence Brown, Mya Southwick, and Kelsey Greenslade. The queen coronation is Friday at 3pm on the Center Stage at the Dallas County Fairgrounds in Adel.
