
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball Team will close out the regular season tonight as they hit the road to Pleasant Hill to take on Southeast Polk, with Raccoon Valley Radio covering the broadcast.
The Tigers are ranked 4th in Class 4A, while the Rams are 6th in Class 5A and both teams are looking to end their seasons with wins heading into regionals. ADM is 25-7 on the season coming off a 10-1 victory over Carroll on Monday, and Southeast Polk is 27-10 splitting a double header versus top-seeded Waukee Northwest on Monday.
Tiger sophomore Kinzie Maxwell has 47 hits, 27 RBIs, 11 doubles, 3 home runs, and 6 runs scored. Ram senior Kennedy Borud is at 49 hits on the year, 47 RBIs, 9 doubles, 9 home runs, and scored 30 runs.
Pitching wise, ADM sophomore Makenna Pitlick has 13 wins through 81.2 innings pitched, and an Earned Run Average of 2.14, while Southeast Polk sophomore Karter Price has accumulated 14 wins through 129.1 innings pitched, and an ERA of 3.09.
The Rams lead the historical series 6-1, as the Tigers won their first game of the series last year 7-4. The game is taking place at the Southeast Polk Jr. High School tonight at 7pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, starting around 6:45pm.
