The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball Team was unable to hold off a fierce rally by Norwalk, losing 8-7 in 8 innings on Tuesday.

The Tigers ere on the road, as the Warriors got on the scoreboard first in the bottom of the 2nd inning, to take a 1-0 lead. ADM managed to tally 4 runs in the top of the 3rd inning, plus one more in the 4th inning to grab charge at 5-1. Norwalk would respond with 2 runs in the bottom of the 5th to cut the deficit to 5-3, and then the Tigers marked 2 more runs to extend the advantage back to four at 7-3.

However, in the bottom of the 6th inning, the Warriors powered through 4 runs to tie the game at 7-7, then take it into extra innings, where in the bottom of the 8th, Norwalk junior Brady Wilkening singled to center field to score the winning run of sophomore Rylee Schmidt and notch the 8-7 victory.

The losing pitcher was ADM senior Jaxson Book, who went 1 inning, allowed a hit, 4 runs, walked 2 batters, and captured 3 strikeouts. Scoring runs for the Tigers was Grant Jansen, who led the way with 2, then it was a single run each for Alex Jensen, Cade Fisher, Mason Entriken, Reid Kluesner, and Auggie Young.
