It’s Des Moines Christian visiting Greene County tonight in Class 3A Region 4 opening round softball. The action starts at 7 p.m. at the Jefferson Softball Complex on East Lincolnway and tonight’s game will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. The winner goes to Monroe on Saturday to face the fourth ranked PCM Mustangs or Southeast Valley (Gowrie) at 7 p.m.

Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rams are 15-11 on the season and they’ve lost their last two games, which came on the heels of a nine game wining streak. The losses were to 21-11 Ogden in eight innings and to 31-6 Creston, a 4A program ranked in the top 15.

The Lions, members of the West Central Activities Conference, are 14-12 overall. The Rams finished in fourth place among nine Heart of Iowa Activities Conference schools while DMC finished in a tie for third place in the 11 team WCAC.
