The three counties covered by Raccoon Valley Radio are not suffering from drought conditions for the first time this year.

Guthrie County did see drought conditions last week, but after recent rains all three counties are seeing improved moisture levels. According to the National Weather Service, as of July 10th Perry has reported 4.02 inches of rainfall so far this month, and usually averages 1.36 inches in the same time frame. Guthrie Center recorded 3.39 inches of rain, and usually sees 1.35 inches. Jefferson has seen 1.8 inches of rainfall, and usually averages 1.56 inches.
