There is a free family movie happening tomorrow in Dallas Center.
Korner Kone Eats N’ Treats Co-Owner Tina Robinson tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they are showing “Finding Nemo” as a nice way to spend a relaxing evening with family and friends. She reveals that Korner Kone Eats N’ Treats put a poll on their Facebook page with a list of movies, and that “Finding Nemo” was the most popular one selected.
Robinson acknowledges they held a movie night for several years up until the Covid pandemic in 2020, but they brought it back in 2024. She highlights that there will be food available to purchase, and people are welcome to get comfortable to watch the movie.
“People bring their lawn chairs or their blankets (and) yoga mats. We shut off three parts of the street all around our building, and we just cover the streets. We bought a popcorn maker that we have in the back of the building here, and we’re going to distribute it to everybody before the movie. It’s just a fun night for everybody to come out for free and enjoy the town and enjoy the evening.”
Robinson adds that there will be music playing, games for kids to enjoy, and a face painting booth. Robinson describes that the movie will be shown right outside of their shop on 504 14th Street, in Dallas Center as the activities begin at 6pm, with the movie starting around 8:45pm.
