Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach has some fun library events this month.
Program Director Shelby Van Horn says that they once again have two themes for their library programs this month. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the first one that the library patrons have been enjoying, which is “World in Motion.”
“So we are doing pinball, designing pinball machines. So we have some pinball machine boards that the kids are getting to design their own pinball machines in a team. So that’s been really fun.”
Van Horn mentions that the second theme is related to coding robots, and has also been a success. She adds that the remaining library programs this month are on July 17th at 2pm at the Panora Public Library, July 21st at 10am at the Stuart Public Library and 4pm at the Casey Public Library, with another at the Jamaica Public Library on July 24th at 4pm, and the final one to be at the Menlo Public Library at 10am.
