As the Dallas County Fair continues for the next couple of days, there will be more 4-H and Grandstand events happening tomorrow.

Dallas County Iowa State University Extension Youth Coordinator Annie Schlieman shares that tomorrow will start the 4-H and FFA Pig Show at 8am in the Livestock Show Ring, with the Pig N Pals and the Clover Kid Bucket Bottle Show immediately following. She details that the Rabbit Show is happening at 9am in the Rabbit Building, the Cat Show is at 10am at the Extension Office, the Poultry Show will be at 1pm, and the second day of the Horse Show takes place at 3pm in the South Arena.

Schlieman concludes that the Figure 8 Races will end the evening at 7pm on the North Track, as the Parade of Champions will occur during intermission. She highlights her favorite part of the fair so far has been the Clover Kids Day.

“All of our Clover Kids, which are kindergarten through 3rd grade, can come and bring static projects, and be judged, and then we have all sorts of activities for them to do. I should probably add a plug to my own children, it’s always fun to watch them show and participate in the activities.”

According to Dallas County Fair Director Ashley Zika, at 10am will be a Baby Contest on Center Stage, as well as Remote Control Car Races at the Entertainment Plaza. Then an Antique Power Club Display and Demonstrations from 11am-4pm at the Extension Office, Carnival will be from noon to 10pm, a Cribbage Tournament at 1pm in the Entertainment Plaza, a Firefighter Show near Center Stage at 3pm and 6pm, the Conservation Trailer with the Dallas County Farm Bureau from 3-7pm, fireworks at 10pm at the North Track, then live music by The Other Brothers at the North Track from 9pm-midnight.
