For those looking for a relaxing summer activity, there will be a free family movie happening tonight in Dallas Center.

According to Korner Kone Eats N’ Treats Co-Owner Tina Robinson, the organization is showing “Finding Nemo” as an outdoor movie for free. She notes that Korner Kone Eats N’ Treats hosted movie nights for many years prior to the Covid pandemic in 2020, then recently brought it back in 2024. Robinson encourages people to bring lawn chairs, blankets, or even yoga mats to sit on, as they’ll be shutting off three parts of the street lights to help with visibility. 

Robinson highlights that there will be a variety of food options to choose from, including fresh popcorn. She details that before the movie, there will be music playing, games for kids to enjoy, and a face painting booth. Robinson explains that activities will begin at 6pm at Korner Kone Eats N’ Treats, 504 14th Street, in Dallas Center, with the movie happening at 8:45pm.
