Fall youth soccer registrations are available now with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department.

JPRD Assistant Director Henry Pohlmeyer says 10U, 12U and 15U can now sign up for fall youth soccer in conjunction with the Boone Soccer Club. He points out that all three age levels have a travel league as well, but that the recreational league opens with practices starting the week of August 11th with the first slate of games beginning September 6th and going through October.

Pohlmeyer stresses an important thing to keep in mind when signing kids up to play soccer this fall.

“You have to register here at the GCCC (Greene County Community Center) for order of kids, but you also have to register at the Boone (Soccer Club) website. And that’s one thing that I would like to kind of emphasize and make sure people are registering for both. Otherwise, no registration, (you) can’t do it (and play soccer). It’s better to get it early on than after the fact.”

Pohlmeyer says the travel leagues are each a flat fee of $100 and the recreational leagues are $70 for 10U and $80 for 12U with the Boone Soccer Club, along with a $20 fee for jerseys, and if you need shorts, those are $7 and socks are another $5 charge. The deadlines to sign up for the travel league in 10U and 12U is July 13th and July 14th for 15U and August 10th is the deadline for all recreational leagues.
