The 2025 Dallas County Fair is now over, but there were a lot of great moments, including from the fair royalty.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Youth Coordinator Annie Schlieman said that with all the 4-H and FFA events that occurred, her favorite part was Clover Kids Day, as it highlighted children in kindergarten through third grade to display their static projects.

The fair queen coronation took place on July 11th, featuring four candidates. Jenna Schlieman was named the 2025 Dallas County Fair Princess, as she touches on becoming closer with the other girls.

“It was kind of a growing experience just to meet everybody and to make new friends and new connections, but also to grow as a person in interviewing skills, rapid-fire questions, and even etiquette as well.”

The 2025 Dallas County Fair Queen was Kelsey Greenslade, who was out-right shocked.

“When I heard my name, I was like ‘wait a minute, me, that’s me!’ I don’t think my jaw got picked up off the ground pretty much for like five minutes afterwards. I was ecstatic. It was just such a great feeling, I mean this is something that I’ve looked forward to and wanted to achieve ever since I was a little girl. That overwhelming amount of joy, and knowing that everything happens for a reason, and there’s a reason that I was named queen this year was something so great that I can’t even describe how I’m feeling right now, even still today.”

Dallas County Queen Coordinator Brittney Roorda shares that Kruse Hawkins is this year’s Little Miss. The fair also had Figure 8 Races, live music from The Other Brothers, along with fireworks. The Dallas County Fair ran from July 8th-12th.
