With the summer ball season finished for the AC/GC Chargers, we look back at how the players did.

For the softball team, senior Paige Van Meter started in 15 of the 16 games she played, making 27 trips to the plate for two runs, and two single base hits. She recorded a sacrifice play, was walked five times and hit by pitch once, with a batting average and slugging percentage of .074, on base percentage of .242. Van Meter also was successful on both her stolen base attempts. She had one assist, 29 put outs, one error, and a fielding percentage of .968.

For the baseball team, junior Chase Slaybaugh started all 22 games he played in, making it to the plate 66 times for 13 runs and 18 hits, of which 13 were singles and five were doubles. He also recorded seven RBIs, one sacrifice play, was walked 12 times, hit by pitch twice, and reached on error three times. Slaybaugh had a batting average of .273, on base percentage of .400 and slugging percentage of .348. He had 23 total bases, and was successful on all four stolen base attempts.

Slaybaugh also recorded 33 assists, 23 put outs and 11 errors for 67 total chances and a fielding percentage of .836. From the mound, he played three games, pitching for five innings, and throwing 113 pitches against 24 batters. Slaybaugh had an opposing batting percentage of .375, allowing nine hits, 10 runs, of which nine were earned. He walked four batters, hit five batters, and struck out three for an ERA of 12.60 and walks and hits per inning pitched of 2.60.
