The 2025 Greene County High School baseball and softball seasons are over with losses over the weekend in postseason play. Coach Kyle Stalder’s baseball Rams and Coach Tom Kennedy’s softball Rams showed improvement this season from the 2024 campaigns.

Ram baseball was 2-20 a year ago and improved to 7-15 this season. After a 1-10 start to this season, Greene County went 6-5 in its last 11 games. Seven seniors were on the team and all seven started late in the season. They are Isaac Carman, Crew Conner, Lane Fields, Noah Hinote, Camden Jacobs, Nick Stream, and Gavyn Winters. The Greene County baseball season came to an end in Sioux City on Friday night to Bishop Heelan, ranked number 6 in Class 3A by a 14-1 score.

The softball Rams went from 4-20 in 2024 to 16-12 this season. Three of the losses were to sixth ranked PCM (Monroe) including a 9-0 final on Saturday night in a 3A Region 4 semifinal to end the season. The three seniors on the team are Chanlyn Cunningham, Payton Kokenge, and Violet Reedy.

Postseason honors haven’t been announced yet, but Raccoon Valley Radio and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com will have those when they are made public.
