Mass of Christian Burial for   Donald August Wiederin, 95, of Glidden, will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, August 1, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Glidden.  Music for the Mass will be by the St. Elizabeth Seton Choir with Mary Ross as organist.  Burial will be at Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden with military honors conducted by the Merle Hay Post of the American Legion.

    Visitation will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 5 – 7 P.M. A Rosary will conclude the visitation at 7 P.M.  Additional visitation will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton Church from 9:30 – 10:15 A.M. on Friday prior to the Mass.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Endow Glidden and may be left at the church.

    Don is survived by his wife LuEtta of 73 years of rural Glidden; three daughters and their families: JoAnn Johnson (Brian) of Glidden, Cindy Klink (Randy) of Vail, and Jackie Sward (Rick) of Monument, CO; a son-in-law Lynn Stork of Glidden; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a brother Richard Wiederin (Linda) of San Jose, CA; his in-laws: LeRoy Fick (Gloria) of Pleasant Hill, IA, Sharon Scharfenkamp (Paul) of Ames, IA, Marcia Wiederin of Coal Valley, Il, and Gordon Harman of Missouri; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
