It is an exciting time for Dallas Center-Grimes and the Gray family as senior Taitn Gray has been drafted #86 in the third round to the Tampa Bay Rays.
Gray found nothing short of success this season with a .636 on base percentage and .479 batting average with 38 RBIs and 12 homeruns this season. A dual position athlete, Gray has been drafted by Tampa Bay as a catcher and an outfielder and is also a switch hitter in the batters box.
Head coach Castenson reflected on his time coaching Gray stating,
“he’s one of the most hardworking and humble kids I know. He truly wants to do what is best for the team, and just wants to play baseball.”
Gray finishes his career as a Dallas Center-Grimes Mustang and prepares for a big league future.
