Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach has several more youth programming classes going on this month.

Youth Coordinator Rachel Muir says that there are quite a few different classes for the kids to take part of, and tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they always gear these courses towards not only being educational, but enjoyable as well.

“So I guarantee you they will not leave without either laughing a lot or just having a good time overall. It’s more just, yeah, just trying to do programming in the county and trying to get the county involved and see what we do in the office as well.”

Muir mentions that on Thursday they will have a Clover Cookie Factory class, where 4th-8th graders will learn how to make cookies, but also how to identify the ingredients necessary, as one will be left out for them to identify and then add. She adds that other programs that will be going on are a Growing in the Garden class on July 22nd for 4th-12th grade students, along with a class for kids at the Little Charger Early Learning Center. On July 24th they will host an art class at 9am, with another class at the Little Charger ELC along with their Hour at the Fair course on July 29th, and their Ricochet class on July 31st.
