The Perry Summer Swim team raced by the competition on Saturday in Carroll to claim the Iowa West Conference crown.
The trophy collection got a little bit bigger with the addition of the conference meet title. Perry was coming off a perfect 8-0 record during the regular season to win that championship. They took first with a score of 654. That was 21 points higher that Guthrie County, who finished second. Carroll claimed third with a score of 485.
Head Coach Sophia McDevitt was extremely excited with accomplishments of this year’s club. She added that Perry will have the opportunity to return the whole team as everyone is under the age limit of 18 next season.
