The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday morning.
The Board approved mediation with Lang Construction, then heard an update from Guthrie County Facilities Manager Brandon Thompson. He discussed different projects, including one that is anticipated to start soon, due to a safety issue.
“Got some upcoming things we might be doing here. Some sidewalk repair replacement south of the monument out here. So it pitted, and where it meets the street, it’s kind of caving in. We’ll redo some of that. It’s a bit of a huge problem.”
County Engineer Josh Sebern discussed hiring two engineering staff, and involving drones and artificial intelligence to help with culvert inspections. The Board also approved the new severe weather policy, and will be talking with department heads to work on implementing it.
