On Tuesday, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs softball team won their third straight regional championship, defeating the Creston Panthers 8-2 at home. Tessa Jones guide the Mustang defense towards success, striking out 10 Panthers in the regional championship victory.

The entire Mustang offense would shine ending the night scoring eight runs with eight hits and six RBIs. Three Mustangs would have two run homeruns, as Jenah Gray would hit the first two run shot in the first, Montag would hit hers in the fourth, then Addie Abens would hit the final two run homerun in the bottom of the sixth to push the Mustangs ahead of Creston 8-2.

The Mustangs prepare for the state tournament next week in Fort Dodge as DCG wins their third straight regional championship defeating the Creston Panthers 8-2.
