A new permanent structure was unveiled at the recently held Greene County Fair.
A concrete backdrop is located south of the show ring and many youth exhibitors and other people used to take pictures during the fair. Greene County Fair Board Vice President Katlynn Mechaelsen is thrilled with how well the project turned out, which she points out would not have happened without tremendous community support.
“I can’t thank everybody enough for helping us out with that. All of the sponsorships that we’ve gotten (including) Greene County Community Foundation obviously with their grant, as well as all of the individual businesses and families out there. This is something that has been wanted for a long time and we’re just really happy to see it through.”
According to the Fair Board, they are urging anyone who would like to buy a plaque and be included on the donor wall of the backdrop, to contact them. They said with the additional funding, they can build a concrete walkway to the backdrop.
