With the Adair County Fair finished for 2025, Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is taking a moment to catch their breath before returning to all their fun events.
Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says that the fair is the biggest part of the month for them, and the busiest part of the year as well. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that there’s still work to be done afterwards though.
“There’s a lot of background stuff that we do after the fair as far as getting ready for (the Iowa) State Fair and getting exhibitor projects entered and sent up to (the) Iowa State Fair. So it’s kind of a quiet month for us.”
Savage mentions that the rest of the month is mainly playing things by ear, but that there are two events that have already been scheduled. She adds that those are a summer camp on July 30th, and the annual performance dinner on July 31st.
