The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday night.
The Council approved a tax exemption for 902 Tiger Lane, the destruction of city records older than five years, and the purchase of four security cameras using LOST funds, with each camera to be placed at the main entrance and exit points of the city. They also took no action on allowing chickens in city limits, sticking with the current ordinance that does not allow them.
The Council then approved the replacement of the distribution box inlet at the city lagoon by American Rehab Coatings for $6,787, and a quote by Denco Highway in the amount of $37,352 to fill cracks in road pavement around town. City Clerk Kris Arrasmith gave an update, sharing that she had received a quote for replacing the back door at city hall, but was awaiting a second quote to compare pricing.
