Tessa Jones continues to have a dominant run on the mound for the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs softball team as Jones would have ten strikeouts against the Creston Panthers on Monday. Jones would pitch the entire regional championship game helping keep the Mustang defensive ahead to beat Creston 8-2.

Jones could be on track to reach 200 strikeouts this season as the sophomore ace pitcher currently has 187 strikeouts. Jones is a workhorse on the mound, pitching for 150.1 innings and has only allowed: 116 hits, 54 runs, 33 walks and has only hit two batters so far this season.

Jones and the Mustangs prepare for the first round of the Class 4A state tournament on Monday, facing off against the ADM Tigers in Fort Dodge. First pitch is scheduled for 10:30 with coverage on KDLS beginning at 10:15am.
