The Perry Public Library is closing in on the finale of the summer reading program, and they need help from residents on a fun event happening soon.

Adult Services Librarian Mindy Farmer tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the library will be hosting a Pop-Up Mini-Golf Course on Saturday, July 26th. She reveals that people from the community are building nine pop-up mini-golf holes to set around the library, then participants can go around playing friendly games with others.

Farmer is requesting assistance from a few more volunteers that would like to set up mini-golf holes. She highlights that the library will provide a starter kit with a sliver of turf and a goal for anyone interested in creating one that revolves around the theme of “Level Up.” Farmer outlines that July 26th will also be the conclusion of the summer reading program, as the grand prize winners will be announced for the children, teens, and adults at the mini-golf finale. Farmer shares that the event is free, which is happening from 1-3pm. To learn more or volunteer, contact the Perry Public Library at (515)-465-3569.
