The leader of the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball Team reflects on having many players being able to step up on the mound this season.

Tiger Head Coach Jason Book says he’s grateful to have a nice selection of pitchers at his arsenal. He indicates that each player puts a lot of work in behind the scenes to stay ready for when their time is called upon. Book reveals the mindset approach taken this year.

“We kind of went with the mantra of give us your best as long as you can, and when you’re tired, we’ll go to the next guy. And just embrace that two to four innings that you might be in the game, and get it set up and pass it to the next guy for him to have an opportunity to be successful as well.”

ADM utilized 15 different players at the pitcher position, with the most consistent starters being junior Jack Siefken, then seniors Grant Jansen and Jaxson Book. Jason is anticipating developing the returning players to be ready to go for the 2026 season.
