Dave Wright, the Activities Director for the Greene County Community School District, told Raccoon Valley Radio the high school sports coaching staffs for the upcoming 2025-26 school year are filled. Earlier this month, the Greene County Board of Education approved the hiring of Zach Beekman to head the wrestling program, thus filling the last head coach opening.

The head coaches of the three falls sports at Greene County all will be returning when official practice begins on August 11. Jeff Lamoureux is the head cross-country coach for girls and boys. Chris Heisterkamp is back as the head volleyball coach, and Caden Duncan returns to lead the football program. Football and volleyball will have preseason camps the week of Aug. 4.

The week of July 28 is Family Week throughout Iowa high schools, meaning no use of school facilities is allowed by athletes, and athletic contact between students and coaches is not allowed.
