Perry softball saw Tina Kanealy replace Maci Tunick as their ace of the staff in 2025. Perry would go on to have a 7-13-1 record.
Kanealy started 20 of the 21 games. The senior pitched 111 innings while striking out 42 hitters on her way to a 7-11 record. That was an uptick from the 25 innings she pitched as a junior. The right handed pitcher had a career high six strikeouts in the 6-1 victory over South Hamilton on June 27. Kanealy kept the Jayettes in games with her 4.35 ERA.
In the batter’s box, she had two doubles while driving in four runs.
The Perry pitcher was one of two seniors for first year Head Coach Emma Olejniczak. The Jayettes will have a new ace for a third straight year.
