The Adel Public Library is hosting an event revolving around the art of science tomorrow.
Programming Specialist Lily Schwarz reveals that the Science Center of Iowa is stopping by the library to teach people about exploration and explosions. She notes that individuals can participate in fun exercises, as safety equipment will be provided. Schwarz details the types of gases the Science Center of Iowa will have during the program.
“They’re going to have some liquid nitrogen, they’re going to have some combustible gases. This will be happening indoors, so it won’t be super crazy, but it will be a really fun presentation about science and why things explode.”
Schwarz explains that people will also learn about the interactions of pressure, temperature, and the causes of explosions. She says the program is open to people of all ages and is happening for free at the library from 1-2pm. For more information, contact the Adel Public Library at (515)-993-3512.
