On Monday, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs softball team faced off against the ADM Tigers in the first round of the state softball tournament in Fort Dodge. This game would be a nail bitter going into extra innings, but the Mustangs would fall in the end to ADM 4-1 in the ninth inning.
Jenah Gray would score the lone run for DCG, hitting a solo homerun in the bottom of the second to take a 1-0 lead. Jenna Morrison would make two beautiful plays in left field making two diving catches.
After falling to ADM, the Mustangs now prepare to face off against the Cedar Rapids Xavier Saints. First pitch is scheduled for 10am with coverage on KDLS beginning at 9:45am.
