On the Wahl Macatee Tire & Service Center Guthrie County Sports Page, head coach of the West Central Valley Wildcat football team Jim Lindsay expressed the importance of his football players being involved in other sports.

“I encourage our guys to do as much as they can. They’re only in high school once, and the more competition they can get in the winter or spring and summer seasons the better. You know, and we’re a small school so we need all of our athletes doing as much as they are comfortable with. So me and all of the other coaches, we definitely encourage our kids to do multiple sports.”
