The leader of the Perry Community School District shares the new individuals that will be taking the roles of several long-time filled positions for the upcoming year.
Superintendent Clark Wicks reveals that the district is bringing in Dalen Christensen as the new School Business Official, Lila Siglin as the new Director of Perry’s Academic, Cultural, and Enrichment Services (P.A.C.E.S.), and Dr. Mandy Ross as the new Director of Teaching and Learning.
Wicks explains that Christensen is replacing Kent Bultman, who served for 14 years; Siglin is taking over for Mary Hillman, who was the founder of P.A.C.E.S. 25 years ago; and Ross is succeeding Kevin Vidergar, who was in his role for 12 years. Wicks is excited to have them join the school district.
“Looking forward to working with those people and wishing them the best, and love to have them at this Perry Bluejay country area.”
Wicks details that as the board gears up for a new school year, there is work on the technological side of things, as well as ways to improve student learning from inside the classroom to extracurricular activities. The first day of school for Perry is on Monday, August 25th.
