The leader of the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Community School District describes the benefits of a newer math curriculum that will continue to develop into this upcoming school year.
Superintendent Greg Dufoe tells Raccoon Valley Radio that students in kindergarten through eighth grade will be following the Number Worlds curriculum to assist with math intervention. He explains that this will be the third year of implementation of the program as he wants to help students advance in math.
“We continue to find the need to provide supplemental interventions for students who are currently struggling. So, we think that this will be a good option for us to add to our resources to help students.”
Dufoe says the math curriculum will be fed to students at Meadow View Elementary, DeSoto Intermediate, and ADM Middle School. He details that the curriculum will assist students with number fluency.
