A Guthrie Center woman was injured in a crash in Carroll County Wednesday.

Around 9:18am, a Chevrolet Silverado King 2500 driven by 34 year old Joel Maloney of Coon Rapids was heading east on Highway 141 west of Olympic Avenue when it was met by a Toyota Camry driven by 26 year old Haeleigh Busse of Guthrie Center, which was traveling westbound. Maloney’s vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and struck Busse’s vehicle head on near the shoulder of the highway. Both drivers were severely injured, and transported by helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. The crash is still being investigated by the Iowa State Patrol and Carroll County Sheriff’s Office. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring more information as it becomes official.
