During the regional championship match up to qualify for the state softball tournament, Paisley Heidgerken would make DCG school history by breaking the single season total stolen bases. The original record would be set by Cindy Ware in 1977 with 42 stolen bases in one season.

Heidgerken would enter the regional championship game with 41 stolen bases and would steal second twice, tying then breaking the single season record ending the regular season with 43 stolen bases. Paisley would keep the momentum going into the state tournament, notching in two more stolen bases, one against the ADM Tigers and the Cedar Rapids Xavier Saints.

Heidgerken ends the 2025 softball season as the new DCG School record holder in single season stolen bases, etching her name in Mustangs softball history with 45 stolen bases in one season.
