
Perry baseball players received recognition for what they did on the field in 2025. Owen Myers was selected First Team All Heart of Iowa Conference and Geren Kenney was named to the Honorable Mention squad.
It was a difficult season for Perry that saw them go 3-13 in conference games. Overall, they finished 3-24. Myers and Kenney carried the load in their final season.
The future Mustang at Mount Mercy University hit .440 and was named as an infielder. He bounced around third and first base as he battled arm injuries. The State Qualifier in the 400M Hurdles used his speed in baseball. His 19 steals was fifth in the league and his two triples was tied for second. Myers scored 19 runs while driving in 10 RBI’s.
Kenney was the lone other Bluejay to be recognized. He made the Honorable Mention list. The Perry centerfielder hit a blistering .443 which was the third highest in the league. Kenney scored a team high 24 runs and reached base at a .516 clip.
Both seniors put together two of the best offensive seasons in the past decade of Perry baseball.
