
With the summer ball season finished for the AC/GC Chargers, we look back at how the players did.
For the softball team, junior Savannah Akers started in seven of the 14 games she played in, going to bat 12 times for five runs and a single base hit. She was walked twice, hit by pitch once and struck out five times, for one total base and a .083 batting average and slugging percentage, along with a .267 on base percentage. Akers was successful on her lone stolen base attempt, with one put out for one total chance and a 1.000 fielding percentage.
For the baseball team, freshman Sayer Bireline-Huss played in three games, taking the plate twice and being struck out once. From the mound, he pitched 1.2 innings, throwing 47 times to 11 batters for an opposing batting average of .545, allowing six hits, five earned runs, and walked two batters, hit one and struck out one for a 21.00 ERA and 4.80 walks and hits per inning pitched.
