The Dallas County Hospital is inviting the public out to an annual event tomorrow in the Perry area.
According to the Public Relations of Marketing and Foundation Director Tom Harmsen, the hospital is holding the annual Healthcare Expo to help people connect to their services. He details that the event has traditionally catered towards the senior population, but they’ve made changes to better suit younger adults and families. Harmsen notes that over 20 health providers will be present at the expo to answer any questions.
“So it’s an opportunity to help expand on really what’s here, especially if you’re new to the area or maybe even if you’ve been here for a while, it’s constantly a revolving update to our specialty clinic list, of who’s here and when they’re here. Not only our internal areas but also some of those partners of ours that are really a requirement to take advantage of care here.”
Harmsen says the goal of the expo is to showcase the hospital’s array of services to assist people and have them avoid driving to a larger city for care. He adds the event will be available in English and Spanish, taking place at the Dallas County Hospital, 610 10th Street, in Perry from 10am-2pm tomorrow.
