The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday night.
The Council approved a change to the employee handbook regarding use of city vehicles, tax exemption status for 1602 Cameron Pass, and after some discussion agreed to look at garbage fees at the next regular meeting. They also heard about a nuisance property, the north shelterhouse at Mitchell Park, and some trees along Cameron Drive. City Clerk Kris Arrasmith shared her report with the Council, telling them that during the citywide clean up they took nearly 37 loads of junk to the transfer station, which amounted to over 33,000 pounds of materials. She added they also took over 48,000 pounds of iron to Clayton Salvage in Greenfield. Arrasmith mentioned that this year the event raised $4,929 of profit, which went to the little league baseball and softball teams.
