
The Bluejays and Jayettes performed well on the Academic All-Conference Team. Perry had three from the baseball team and four made it from softball. In total, seven athletes who competed in summer sports achieved Academic All-Conference in the Heart of Iowa. Players earning the honor needed to be a junior or senior with at least a 3.25 grade point average on a 4.00 scale. From the softball team, Tina Kanealy, Taryn Nehring, Ayden Erickson, and Karagyn Whelchel all surpassed a 3.25. Now from the baseball team, Gabriel Beato-Amparo, Geren Kenney, and Owen Myers achieved the feat.
Both teams would finish below .500 last year. The Bluejays went 3-24 while the Jayettes went 7-13-1.
