Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center Superintendent Josh Rasmussen is looking forward to the start of the new school year.

Rasmussen says that with the summer sports season now over, everyone is looking forward to the start of the 2025-26 school year. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio what he enjoys about this time of the year.

“July is a great time to just kind of reflect on what’s going on and I feel really good about where we’re at. I know I’ve said this before, but we have great kids and great people that help us in this educational journey and (it) starts with the boards, and having high expectations and realizing that academics are important along with the activities and it definitely shows. So just feel good about where we’re at as a school district and the people that are here really want to be here and want to get better.”

Rasmussen mentions that the first day of school for AC/GC is August 25th, so there’s just under a month until teachers, staff and students return to the buildings. He adds that he’s enjoyed his time as the superintendent so far, and is looking forward to year number four with everyone in the district and communities.
