
The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
Turner Construction Senior Project Manager Jamie Rochleau shared that there are multiple companies vying to be prequalified bidders to offer civil and structural bid packages for courthouse renovations. Rochleau announced that Turner Construction is looking to receive bids on August 12th and be ready to present to the board of supervisors on August 26th. The board did take action on a change order for the courthouse renovations in the amount of $191,975.
The only other items on the agenda that were approved included an agreement with Tri-City Electric Company to replace a project screen for the Human Service Campus Community Room for $8,639.63, and a resolution for project funding recommendations for an Opioid Settlement Oversight Committee to be distributed between three entities of the Dallas County Suicide Prevention Coalition, Steps of Hope, and the Perry Police Department for a total amount of $46,700.
The board then held a human resources workshop before adjourning the supervisors meeting. Supervisor Julia Helm was not present at the meeting.
