As Jim Lindsay has stepped down from his role as Activities Director at West Central Valley to focus on his head coaching duties for the Wildcat football team, a new Activities Director has been hired for West Central Valley, Annie Baldus.

Baldus, originally from California, spent some time teaching and coaching in the West Des Moines area before taking on the role at West Central Valley. Annie reflected on her decision to leave the metro area and join the West Central Valley family stating,

“My parents actually grew up in Grinnel and Newton so we have a lot of roots here in Iowa so I grew up with that smaller community sense, those morals and those values is what I was raised on. But I love the idea of being close to the metro and having a lot of resources for the students and athletes but also be able to keep this a really personal experience.”

Annie took over for Jim Lindsay during the summer, and looks to use family week as a time to get herself acquainted with the WCV community and the school.
