With summer sports over, it’s time to look at where the AC/GC Chargers baseball players rank among the rest of their conference.

Junior Tommy Skram leads the team in stolen bases, and is tied for second in conference with 28. Senior Taytum Bates is the team leader in opponents thrown out stealing, ranking fifth in conference with six. Skram also led the team when it came to on base percentage and walks, ranking fifth in conference with a .562 OBP, and drew 23 walks. Tommy and brother Will Skram, an 8th grader, both made it in the top five for strike outs, with Will tying for third by only being struck out six times in 61 appearances at the plate, and Tommy being struck out seven times with 72 appearances.

Senior Ben Franzeen was the team leader in batters hit by pitch, and tied for fifth in conference (minimum 10 innings pitched) with only one batter hit in 14.2 innings pitched. Junior Blaize Dorsey was part of a 36-way tie for first in conference for sacrifices allowed (minimum 10 innings pitched), with zero sacrifices in his time on the mound (29 innings). As a team, the Chargers were ranked fifth in conference in runs against with 187, fifth in conference for walks drawn with 116 and fifth in hit by pitches with 36.
